CABIN FAQS/RULES/POLICIES:

Regular check-in time is 2:00 p.m. and check-out is 12 p.m. Certain allowances may be considered if needed for earlier check-ins or a later check-out. Please contact the office for more information. Guest remaining beyond check-out time will be charged an additional nights stay unless prior arrangements have been made through the Marina Office.

If the office is closed upon your arrival, we do provide on-site Security which will be able to give you access to your cabin. Security’s telephone number is 903-814-6706 and is posted on the door of every cabin and office.

To make a reservation please call us toll free at 888-855-1972 for availability or email us at cabins@grandpappy.com. We require a name, address, daytime telephone number and valid credit card number to secure your reservation. We will pre-authorize your credit card the day the reservation is made. If credit card is declined or invalid, your reservation will immediately be cancelled.

Our cabins are Pet-Friendly; however, there is a non-refundable fee of $25.00 per night if you bring a pet. We do not charge more than $50.00 for the duration of your stay. In consideration for other guests, please do not leave your pet unattended. Excessive barking will not be tolerated and may be cause for eviction. Any damages caused by pets will be assessed and charged accordingly.

Our 2 and 6 bedroom cabins are equipped w/ cable television, towels, linens, basic dishes, utensils, coffeemaker, refrigerator, & microwaves. Our 1 bedroom cabins have cable television, linens, towels, dorm size fridge, coffeemaker, and microwave. No dishes are provided in the 1 bedroom cabins.

Our cabins are considered housekeeping cabins and should be left neat & tidy. All food brought by you should leave with you. All dishes must be washed and trash should be collected and carried to area dumpsters. Cabin key must be returned to office upon departure. Failure to do so will result in a $25.00 fee. Any damages to cabins must be reported and paid for before departure. There will be a $100.00 excess cleaning fee if cabin is left in disorder. We ask that you place furniture back in the original position if rearranged. Large groups or Family reunions are asked to place dishes back in the cabins from which they were removed.

If you are dissatisfied or have an issue with your cabin upon arrival, we MUST be notified immediately. We will do our best to accommodate your needs or correct the problem. However, no discounts will be considered if complaints are received at the end of your stay.

We do require a 2 night minimum stay during season (April 1st – September 30th). We require a 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends as well as during Lakefest Regatta. During the off season (October 1st – March 31st) we offer a 20% discount with no minimum stay required.

All of our cabins are heated and air conditioned for your convenience. Our 2 & 6 bedroom cabins have central heat and air units which are preset to 74 degrees; you will find no interior thermostats in these units. The temperature is regulated by sensors in the return air grills. Our 1 bedroom cabins have a/c and heating window units.

We require 72 hours advance notice for cancellations and 2 week cancellation notice for holiday weekends or any bookings of 5 or more cabins. Cancellations must be confirmed by phone or e-mail. Inclement weather does not constitute a valid cancellation.

All cabins are inventoried for contents between guests. Customers will be charged for lost items. We also charge a $50.00 fee for the use of fire extinguishers that are discharged for purpose other than a fire.

Cabin tenants are prohibited from all boathouses or docks. The Gas Dock and Ship Store is open to all customers for purposes allowed.

Grandpappy Point Marina will not be responsible for accidents, injuries, or loss of items. We reserve the right to evict any such person or persons who create a disturbance or become a nuisance. No refunds will be given if evicted.

A few things you may wish to bring for your stay are coffee, coffee filters, food, clothes, charcoal, lighter fluid, and beach towels.
